Khwai Lediba, a luxury tented safari camp located along the banks of the Khwai River in the Khwai Concession of Botswana. As part of the African Bush Camps Foundation’s community empowerment projects, you’ll also have the chance to visit the nearby Khwai village preschool and witness the positive impact of purpose-led travel firsthand.
Savute Elephant Lodge which is set deep into the southern reaches of the famous Chobe National Park, one of the most luxurious safari lodges in Botswana. During the day in each location, guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris and mokoro safaris (water levels permitting) on the search for Africa’s big attractions including lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe. An additional virtue of this area is that guests can head off on night drives and get an up-close and personal experience with some of Africa’s nocturnal and more elusive animals.

From Johannesburg, you will fly to Eagle Island Lodge in the Okavango Delta. You will arrive to the warmest of welcomes where you will settle in and soak up the beauty of the lodge and scenery. Enjoy an afternoon or evening game drive ending back at the lodge to partake in a gorgeous African dinner under the stars before retiring to your bed.
Your luxury tented room is equipped with a daybed, desk, fully-stocked minibar and discreet air conditioning. An en-suite bathroom features a walled outdoor shower with a window overlooking the delta, a large indoor bathtub and walk-in wardrobe.
Stays are full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner plus drinks including alcohol, with some premium brands and imported champagnes at additional cost. Dining options range from light and healthy to indulgent, and special dietary requests can be catered for.

Typically your days will consist of early wake up with coffee and your morning game drive. Return to a bountiful breakfast and then enjoy all the activities on offer or just relax around the lodge cooling off at the pool while overlooking all that nature has to offer. Take a tour of the waterways by boat or traditional mokoro canoe. Spot game from the sky on a unique helicopter safari, guided by a local environmentalist or enjoy an afternoon or evening game drive.

Day 3 is checkout day and after another wonderful breakfast, your journey takes you onto your next adventure where you will alight a light plane for a short hop to Khwai Lediba camp

You will arrive by light aircraft where you would have enjoyed a 20-30 minute aerial view of the Okavango Delta on route. Then jumping into one of the game vehicles where you will enjoy a 45 minute ‘game drive” on route to the camp. Never a moment away from the African experience you are after.
The central camp includes a pool, dining area with an open kitchen, and bar with a sunken lounge. Meals, cocktails, and bubbly will be served indoors or al fresco on a deck surrounded by sycamore and leadwood trees with stunning views across the river.
Activities at the camp include morning, afternoon, and night game drives, as well as walking and Moroko safaris (depending on water levels). The camp also offers the opportunity to visit the nearby Khwai village preschool as part of the African Bush Camps Foundation's community empowerment projects.

Day 5 is checkout day and after another wonderful breakfast, you will enjoy one last 45 min game drive to the airfield where you alight the light plane to take you onto your next adventure at Savute Elephant Lodge.

You will arrive by light aircraft where you would have enjoyed an aerial view of the Okavango Delta on route. Arriving to a warm welcome you will find a lodge with contemporary interiors that reflect the earthy tones of the wilderness, while eco-friendly design features keep you in harmony with the stunning landscape.
When you’re not out and about on safari, relax and unwind by the generous pool and take a cooling dip or enjoy a rejuvenating spa treatment at the spa or in the comfort of your room or private deck. For fabulous wildlife sightings on your doorstep, head to the permanent water hole in front of the lodge. Watch elephants gathering to drink and at night discover how the nocturnal sounds of Savute—roars, rumbles, chirps—are magically amplified.
Head out to the unique viewing hide at dusk or dawn, overlooking the watering hole, and see elephants, hyenas and cheetahs in their element.
In the evenings head to the Boma and gather round the campfire and exchange your day’s adventures, much as villagers do throughout Botswana. The evening often ends with everyone on their feet, dancing to rhythms handed down through generations.
